About Us
What is in the name?
The phrase “Rose of Sharon” appears in the Song of Solomon 2:1: “I am a rose of Sharon, a lily of the valley.” The Lord revealed the name to one of our members directly.
Within the Song of Solomon, the Bride’s utterance, “I am a rose of Sharon,” carries a tone of humility and wonder. The broader poetic flow focuses on the love between the Bride and the Bridegroom. She likens herself to a flower among flowers, highlighting both her modesty (“I am just another rose in this plain”) and her beloved status (“yet I am cherished by my beloved”). The language converges around devotion and adoration, woven into a larger tapestry celebrating love as a gift reflective of the Creator’s purpose.
Our Vision
As directed by the Lord, we are building a Christian homesteading community for the preservation and protection of His children in the years to come.
Our vision includes returning to the model of life embraced by the early Church, similar to that depicted in Acts 2:44-47. That is, we envision a self-sufficient cooperative that provides for one's spiritual and physical needs; a more complete approach to living.
Our mission is to build a Goshen, a place of safety where the Gospel can be preached, where lives and souls can be saved.

Our Beliefs
The Rose of Sharon Community adheres to the teachings, writings, and practices of the early church of Christ. We affirm One God, His Coming to earth in Christ, His death, burial, and resurrection, His continued supernatural work on the earth partnered with man, and His soon return to earth.
